State Road 25 near Rockfield closed for over 10 hours Tuesday
Semi overturns; hogs loose

A truck loaded with hogs ran off SR25N near Rockfield and landed on its side. The personal injury accident was reported to Carroll County Emergency Dispatch Tuesday at 5:56 a.m.

The driver, Roger A. Myers, 37, of Nevada, Ohio, was taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital Medical Center in Lafayette with facial injuries.

Several hogs were killed in the accident. Representatives of Indiana Packers Corporation, Delphi, assisted with the capture of the live hogs.

A crane removed the semi and trailer. The accident was investigated by Cpl. Tobe Leazenby, Deputy Steve Mullin, the Delphi, Rockfield and Burrows Volunteer Fire Departments, Carroll County EMS, Indiana State Police, the Camden Town Marshal, and Delphi City Police.

SR25 was reopened later that day at approximately 4:35 p.m.
