Two swim records in one week Delphi swimmer Shannon Kremer picked up where she left off last season rewriting the DCHS swim record book. She wasted no time by resetting her own record in the 100-yard freestyle at the third meet of the year. Her second record-breaking effort came two days later. Kremer had never swam the 100-yard backstroke in a high school competition. In her first attempt at the event, she swam 1:07.35, resetting the old record of 1:10.58. With the backstroke record in hand, Kremer becomes the first DCHS swimmer ever to hold five individual event records at the same time. She also holds a share of all three-relay events as well. Teammates Kayleigh Morgan and Mara Burton also hold shares of the current records in relay events. |
