Virginia Wagoner Virginia "Virgie" Wagoner, 98, of Rossville, died at 12:45 p.m. Nov. 28, 2006, at the home of her daughter in Rossville. Born Oct. 28, 1908, in Carroll County, she was the daughter of Ervin and Melinda Skiles Patrick. She attended Colburn School. On Oct. 17, 1931, she married Alva G. Wagoner, who died July 21, 1980. Mrs. Wagoner was a lifelong resident of the Rossville and Mulberry area. She was employed at Robinson Pharmacy in Mulberry for 15 years. She was a member of the Northfolk Old German Baptist Brethren Church. Surviving are one son, Harris G. Wagoner of Rossville; two daughters, Ruby Jenkins of Rossville and Joan Cover (husband: Raymond) of Zillah, Wash.; one sister, Margaret Brubaker (husband: Hubert) of Modesto, Calif.; seven grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were three sisters, Pearl Wolf, Mary Pryor and Susie Wagoner, and a son-in-law, Ralph Jenkins. Services were held Sunday morning at the Northfork Old German Baptist Brethren Church. Home brethren officiated and burial was in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to Serenity Hospice or to Milner Community Health Care Center, Rossville. Bodine Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
