Lela Brown

Lela Brown, 98, formerly of Camden, passed away Dec. 5, 2006, at 3:15 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Lafayette. She was a resident of Milner Community Health Care in Rossville.

Born Oct. 29, 1908, in Logan County, Ky., she was the daughter of Charity Elizabeth Henderson. She married Connie Cecil Brown in Russellville, Ky., and he preceded her in death March 19, 1994.

Mrs. Brown was a nurse's aide at Hopkin's Nursing Home in Woodburn, Ky. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Franklin, Ky.

She enjoyed sewing and quilting.

Surviving are one son, Cecil Earl Brown of Rockfield, eight grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and eight great-greatgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Hilda Mae Vaughn, and two great-greatgrandchildren.

Visitation will be today, Wednesday, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Davidson Funeral Home in Delphi. Services will be Dec. 8 at Elk Lick Baptist Church in Spa, Ky., Pastor Wilbur Powell officiating. She will be buried at Spa Cemetery in Spa, Ky.
