Virginia M. Heffner

Virginia Mary Heffner, 86, formerly of Bringhurst, died Dec. 2, 2006, at St. Elizabeth Healthcare Center, Delphi.

Born Aug. 15, 1920, in Council Bluffs, Iowa, she was the daughter of Dale and Mary Stewart. She married Corwin "Kirby" Heffner on Aug. 21, 1941, in Peoria, Ill. He died on Nov. 25, 2003.

Mrs. Heffner was employed by Bush Veterinary Service, Flora, for ten years.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Delphi.

She used to enjoy a camping club with her husband.

Mrs. Heffner resided at Carroll Manor from 2004 to 2005, before moving to St. Elizabeth Healthcare Center.

Surviving are one son, Ronald C. Heffner (wife: Shirley) of Kokomo; one brother, Bill Stewart of Council Bluffs, Iowa; one granddaughter, Lisa Fisher of Kokomo; three great-grandchildren, Adam, Ashley and Emily Fisher; and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by a sister.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. today, Wednesday at Baker Funeral Home, Flora (www.bakerfh. com). Pastor Larry DeVos will officiate and burial will be at Maple Lawn Cemetery, Flora.
