Order of the Eastern Star No. 475 will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday for a short meeting, followed by the annual family Christmas party and carry-in dinner and gift exchange.

Camden Town Council will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Town Hall. The quilt that was made and donated by Jane Penn will be given away at the meeting. Tickets are still available at the town office. Proceeds will go for the town's 175th anniversary celebration to be held next July.

Camden-Jackson Township Library Board will have a Christmas Appreciation Get-Together at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 13 at the library.

United Methodist Women will meet in the Senior Citizens Lounge for their annual Christmas supper and meeting at 6 p.m. Dec. 14. Hostess, Judie Peters, will give devotions.

The 10th anniversary of Worldwide Candle Lighting Day will be held Sunday at 7 p.m. The time is set aside each year to remember all children who have died too soon by lighting a candle for one hour in their honor.

Thanksgiving Day guests of Doris and Gene Harter of Camden were Doug, Karen, Ben, Doug and Jacob Stevens of Burnettsville, Carey Stevens and Jessica O'Neal of Monticello, Shawn, Venessa and Jackson Harter, Jeff, Joyce and Ryan Harter of Camden, John Harter of Flora, Mike, Katherine, Seth, Spenser, and Shelbi Forgey, Savannah Forgey and Jason Moore of Young America, and Judy Nero of Kokomo.
