Phyllis J. Griffith

Phyllis J. Pattengale Griffith, 65, formerly of Delphi, passed away Nov. 25, 2006, at 1:52 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Lafayette.

Born in White County on March 20, 1941, she was the daughter of Ewin Marris and Amy Mullendore Marris Schultz.

She had worked at Christos before retiring due to poor health.

Surviving are two daughters, Pam Jones and Samantha Davis, both of Lafayette; one son, Billie Pattengale Jr. of Lafayette; four sisters, Melissa Lane of Lafayette, Jackie Boyd of Lafayette, Martha Wells of Lafayette and Evelyn Bowen of Colorado Springs, Colo.; one brother, Ewin Marris Jr. of Florida; and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.

Visitation will be Nov. 30 from 12 to 1 p.m. at Davidson Funeral Home, Delphi. Services will immediately follow visitation. Pastor Tom Kamp will officiate. Burial will be at Rockfield Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made at the funeral home to the family to help offset funeral expenses.
