Burlington Associate Club met Nov. 21 with six attending. The lesson, "Fix It and Forget It - Crockpot Cooking" and Why We Should Save Money and Why We Don't," were presented by Ruth Johnson. The next meeting will be held at 9 a.m. Dec. 19 with Cheryl Milburn as hostess.

Kiwanis Club will meet at 7:30 a.m. Saturday for breakfast and meeting at the fire station. A program on domestic abuse will be presented.

A church dinner will be held following services Sunday at the Church of Christ. Table service, the entrée and drinks will be provided. Those attending are asked to take a side dish or dessert. The all-church annual meeting will follow.

Hanging of the Greens at the United Methodist Church will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday.

The pastor's Christmas party at the United Methodist Church will be held Sunday at 5 p.m. The entrée will be provided and those attending should take a side dish. There will be an exchange of $5 gifts. Santa Claus is expected to visit.

Crossroads Community Christian Church youth group will meet at 6 p.m. Sunday at the home of Dan and Teresa Butcher.

Faith Church of Christ will hold a board meeting Sunday morning at 8 a.m.

Advent decorating will take place at the First Brethren Church on Saturday at 4:30 p.m.

United Methodist Women met Nov. 20 with Diana Redding and Hilda Harvey as hostesses. The next meeting will be a Christmas party at 6 p.m. Dec. 18 at the home of Sharon Bray.
