Four Carroll County students have been selected to attend U.S. Senator Dick Lugar's "Symposium for Tomorrow's Leaders" to be held Dec. 9 at the University of Indianapolis. Representing Delphi Community High School will be KYLEE GERMAN and ERIKA HAWN. Carroll Jr.-Sr. High School will be represented by SEAN SMITH and KIERSTYN HARPER.
Lugar will open the daylong program with an address to the students on national and world affairs. The students will then participate in a choice of ten discussion groups. Some of this year's topics include: energy security, Iraq, media responsibility, and U.S. leadership in the world. Students debate opposing views under the leadership of major state and national advocates on the subjects.
