MAX J. ALLEN, 68, of Lafayette, died at 12:45 a.m. Nov. 17, 2006, at Regency Place, Lafayette. Born Sept. 5, 1938, in Flora, he was the son of Chalmer and Mabel Pullen Allen. He worked 22 years in construction before retiring. Surviving are two sisters, Betty Handy (husband: Charles) of Flora and Marcella McWhorter of Canton, Ill., and one brother, Keith Allen (wife: Patricia) of Flora. A private family service was held.
