Jack A. Reaves

Jack A. Reaves, 68, of L a f a y e t t e , passed away Nov. 15 at 4:05 a.m. in L a f a y e t t e H o m e Hospital. He had been a patient there for two days.

Reaves was born in Blue Mountain, Miss., on Nov. 4, 1938, to William and Inez Reaves. He lived in Lafayette for most of his life.

He married Lavonne M. Buck on April 27, 1958, in Buck Creek, and she survives.

Mr. Reaves attended Purdue University. He worked at Fairfield Manufacturing for many years and retired in 2000. Prior to that, he worked at National Homes.

He attended Good Shepherd Baptist Church.

He enjoyed farming, hunting and archery.

Surviving are: two daughters, Sheri L. Dill (companion: Rick Tague) of West Point and Sara M. Green (husband: Ron) of Delphi; one son, Terry A. Reaves (wife: Sandy) of Lafayette; his mother of Kokomo; and five grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his father and his brother, Bill Reaves.

Services were held Monday at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel. Burial was at Spring Vale Cemetery.
