Classy Classics EH

The November meeting of the Classy Classics Extension Homemakers Club was at the home of Mary Anna Scott with 12 members present.

The hostess presented a lesson on using the crockpot and offered samples of recipes for a dip, dessert, and pot roast from a prepared packet.

Jane Eller gave a lesson on "Matters of Life and Death" with information on documents and communicating with family members on end of life planning.

Devotions were given by Mary Anna Scott, related to Thanksgiving.

A report was given on progress of the sewing group.

President Pat Rodgers is planning a mystery trip for the Christmas party on Dec. 11. The group is to meet at 5:45 p.m. at the Burlington United Methodist Church.

Rock Creek EH

Rock Creek Extension Homemakers Club met at the Rockfield Presbyterian Church with Grace Deel as hostess.

Roll call was answered by six members, telling something they collect.

Devotions, on a day at the Baltimore airport, were given by Grace Deel.

The birthday of Wiladean Snoeberger and the anniversary of Marjorie Been were recognized by song.

Grace Deel attended the Rock Creek Renegade Achievement Night and the Holiday Workshop. Marjorie Been attended and reported on the Sewing Day.

The project lesson, "What Do Quilts Tell Us?" was given by Wiladean Snoeberger.

Marjorie Been gave a health and safety lesson on "Why Am I So Tired?" Some of the things she said were: "Have a good breakfast. Fatigue is a real ailment. Do not hold resentment. Feel love and pleasure. Change attitude."

The cultural arts lesson on "The First Thanksgiving," was given by Wiladean Snoeberger.

For citizenship, Kathy Snoeberger said she and Grace Deel attended a Veterans Day Program.

In place of a gift exchange for December, Kathy Snoeberger will buy sweat pants for the Camden school.
