Wertz, Swygman vows pledged

Karen Wertz and Randy Swygman were united in marriage during a double ring ceremony held Aug. 19 at 4:30 p.m. at the Flora United Methodist Church. Pastor Larry DeVos officiated.

Parents of the couple are Ron and Diane Wertz of Camden and Robert and Ruth Swygman of Wolcott.

Maid of honor was Bobbi Shavely of Lafayette. Andrea Williams of Terre Haute, Holly Leatherman of Goshen, and Stacy Ruemler of Brookston were bridesmaids.

Loran Gangwer of Lebanon, cousin of the bride, was flower girl. Ring bearer was the groom's nephew, Sam Denton, of Delphi.

Best man was Kevin Swygman of Monticello. Groomsmen were Jacob Sheets of Wolcott, Brian Matthew of Brookston, and John Childers of Fowler.

Serving as ushers were Erin Wertz of Camden and Jason Hawkins of Delphi.

Guest registar was Kari Northcutt of Wolcott.

A reception in the Wabash & Erie Canal Interpretive Center, Delphi, followed the ceremony.

The bride is a 2000 graduate of Delphi Community High School and a 2004 graduate of Indiana State University with a bachelor's degree in education. She is an at-risk aide at Delphi Community Middle School.

The groom is a 2000 graduate of Tri-County High School. He is employed at Farmers Co-op Elevator in Wolcott.

Following a cruise to the Bahamas, the couple is residing in Reynolds.
