Truman Plank Truman Plank, 94, of Cutler, died at 4:22 p.m. Nov. 4, 2006, at St. Anthony's Healthcare Center in Lafayette. He had resided there for two months. Born March 3, 1912, in Carroll County, he was the son of Percy Walter and Susie Wolf Plank. He graduated from Rockfield High School in 1930. On Aug. 5, 1934, he married Genevieve Wise at her parent's home in Carroll County. She died on March 3, 1995. On Dec. 29, 1995, in Apache Junction, Ariz., he married Fern Montgomery, and she died on March 29, 2004. Mr. Plank was a retired farmer. He was a member of the Cutler Presbyterian Church and a former member of the Carroll County Farm Bureau Co-op. He enjoyed traveling and spent his winter months in Apache Junction, Ariz. Surviving are two daughters, Donnabelle Ferrill (husband: Russ) of Franklin and Arlene Gangwer (husband: Bob) of Rossville; nine grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. today, Wednesday, at Baker Funeral Home (www.bakerfh.com), Flora. Pastor Charles Compton will officiate and burial will be at Camden Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Cutler Presbyterian Church. |
