Carroll FFA receives safety award

The Carroll FFA Chapter was one of two chapters in the state to receive the 2006 Indiana Rural Safety and Health Council (IRSHC) Award. The chapter was awarded $250.

The IRSHC has been hosting regular events to bring attention to critical safety and health issues facing Indiana farms and rural families. The 2006 forum was hosted by Brock Grain Systems of Milford.

Carroll FFA Chapter promotes farm safety by presenting an annual Ag Safety Day for elementary students. The Ag Safety Day demonstrates farm safety through activities about farm equipment and other farm safety hazards.
