About 55,000 FFA members from across the nation gathered in Indianapolis for the first-time ever for the 79th National FFA Convention. Keynote speakers included Terry Bradshaw, Mike Rayburn, Clark Kellogg, and Scott McKain.
Carroll FFA was ranked a 3- Star FFA Chapter. Only three chapters in Indiana received this honor. The ranking recognizes the top three percent of FFA chapters in the nation. The chapter ranking is based on student, community, and chapter development activities.
The chapter exhibited six entries in the N a t i o n a l A g r i s c i e n c e Fair. Jonathan Bush and Aaron Spesard received first
place in the Microbiology division for their project, "It's Too Much Good Stuff Bad." They had the opportunity to tour Dow AgroSciences for their accomplishments.
Other results include: Jared Collins, third place in the Microbiology division, "Flowing vs. Stagnant Water"; Chandler Keown and Kevin Knaus, fourth in the Engineering division, "Temperatures Affect on the Viscosity of Biofuels"; Kiara Buchanan and Emily Fritz, fifth in the Zoology division, "Bits and Pieces"; Travis Martin and Malena Zook, seventh in the Botany division, "Comparison of

Titus Michael received his American Degree. This is the
highest degree a member can earn in the FFA. The degree is based on a FFA member's Supervised Agricultural Experience program, leadership in both community and school
activities, and scholarship. Michael is a sophomore at Purdue University, majoring in agribusiness management. He is the son of Greg and Pam Michael.
