Gerald F. Cook
C e n t e r Emergency Room, Lafayette. He was born Dec. 7, 1943, in Wind Rock, Tenn., to Artie and Christine Tucker Cook. He attended Twin Lakes High School, Monticello, and later received his GED. He worked for 25 years at Alcoa in tube extrusion, retiring in 2004. He was a member of the Indiana National Guards for six years. He formerly belonged to the Phantom Car Club. He enjoyed NASCAR, fishing and traveling. Surviving are three daughters, Michelle Walker (husband: Roger) of Delphi, Melissa Weisgerber (husband: Andrew) of Lafayette, and Shawna Snider (husband: Terry) of Camden; his father and stepmother, Artie and Nellie Cook of Frankfort; one brother, Rev. J.E. Cook (wife: Viola) of Taleque, Okla.; two sisters, Ardalee Carlson of Monon and Ella "Doll" Quesenberry (husband: Dave) of Maynardville, Tenn.; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Abbott Funeral Home, Delphi. The Rev. Nord Zootman will officiate. Burial will be at Pleasant Run Cemetery, rural Carroll County. Friends may call today, Wednesday, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. |
