Youth of Faith Lutheran Church will be leading the entire worship service on Sunday.

The Good Neighbor Gals of Deer Creek recently traveled to The Sportsman in Monticello for lunch. Those attending were Betty Bell, Doris Jean Bryan, Dot Fulton, Mary Ellen Johnson, Liz Mylet, Marilyn Hile, Helen Forgey, Ruthina Forgey, Ellen Herr and Dottie Delaplane.

Deer Creek Presbyterian Church is having its monthly breakfast on Saturday. The breakfast is from 6:30 to 10:30 a.m. At 8:30, the Old Fast Pitch Softball team of Deer Creek will be honored. Players from the former Deer Creek Conservation Club, RBM, Old Muelhausen and Quality Ice Cream 1947-1961 will be recognized. Players are asked to come and swap stories. Some of the players are Jerry Blue, Dana Flora, Ray Funkhouser, Glen Gaby, Chuck Laymon, Don Laymon, Mike Long, Kenny Martin, Carl McNulty, Gene McNulty, Bill Hile, Hank Nipple, Dan Remley, Herb Bowman, Bob Deel, Ralph Rohrabaugh, Link Rivers, Jim Smith, Amos Spangler, John Wilson and Wayne Yeakley.
