HILLCREST ELEMENTARY SCHOOL TEACHERS Griffin Anderson, Amanda Woods, Sandy Cox and Danielle Dunbar are participating in the Dairy & Nutrition Council's Great Grow Along program. The program deals with calcium deficiencies in preteen boys and girls. The four-week live animal feeding program helps educate students about the importance of calcium in their diets.

Two Carroll County students were awarded 4-H college scholarships during a luncheon held recently in Indianapolis. Recipients were CARISSA HICKS of Flora and SHANNON KREMER of Delphi.

Hicks received the Natural Resources award for her achievements in Carroll County 4-H programs. She is a member of the Monroe Achievers 4-H Club and

has participated in 4-H programs for eight years. The daughter of Michael and Rhonda Hicks, she plans to attend Ball State University to pursue a degree in dietetics.

Kremer received the Veterinary Science award for her achievements in Carroll County 4-H programs. She is a member of the Deer Creek Delphiniums 4-H Club and has participated in 4-H for ten years. The daughter of Kevin and Bernadette Kremer, she plans to attend Purdue University to pursue a degree in veterinary medicine
