Hallie England Patton

Hallie L. England Patton, 78, of Dellphi, died early in the morning on Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2006, at her residence.

Born Feb. 17, 1928, in Delphi, she was the daughter of James and Minnie Messner Lowther. She married Everett Earl England in 1945 and he preceded her in death in December 1956. On Dec. 26, 1959, she married Roy Gilbert Patton, who also preceded her in death on May 21, 1989.

A homemaker, Mrs. Patton was active in Extension Homemakers and enjoyed her bowling league. She served as state president of the Gamma Gamma Nu before traveling the country with her husband, Roy.

She resided in Pine Island, Fla., for 12 years and returned to Delphi in 1995.

Surviving are two daughters, Pamela Hafey (husband: John "Chic") of Fort Wayne and Dorothy Harrell England of Ocala, Fla.; one son, Edward England (wife: Mary) of Delphi; two sisters, Dorothy McKinney of Ocala, Fla. and Edna Perrin of Elkhart; four granddaughters, Renee Hammond (Mrs. Jay) of Fort Wayne, Lori Sustarsic of Lafayette, Emily Brown (Mrs. Curtis) of Delphi, and Natalie Ostrom (husband: Tony) of Fishers; one grandson, Everett Harrell of Lafayette; and six great-grandchildren.

Services were held Saturday at Davidson Funeral Home, Delphi. Joan Ivy and Bob Blake officiated. Interment was in I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Delphi.
