Deer Creek Community Center annual meeting will be held Saturday. Breakfast will be served from 8 to 9 with themeeting afterwards. Donations will be used to assist with ongoing programs.

A surprise carry-in dinner was held last Sunday for the Rev. Cheryl Montgomery, who will be leaving for another church soon. A special service was held in her honor at the Deer Creek Presbyterian Church.

Presbyterian Women will meet today, Wednesday, at 7:30 p.m. This will be the last meeting of the year and officers will be elected.

The Golden Girls of Deer Creek had their monthly meeting recently. The event was hosted by Harry and Margy Albaugh who prepared a fish fry.Mary Blue furnished a cake in honor of Betty Gordon's birthday. Others attending were Jerry Blue of Cutler, Bob and Pat Burnham, and Joan Jones of Thorntown, Dot Fulton,Marilyn Hile of Deer Creek, and Jane Slusser of Logansport.

Upper Deer Creek Church will have a chili supper Saturday evening from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m.
