Trick-or-Treat night in Burlington will be Oct. 31 from 6 to 8 p.m.

Kiwanis Club is hosting a Harvest Party for the community on Saturday evening. Chili and hot dogs will be served, starting at 5 p.m. Costume judging will start at 6 and games will follow. Volunteers are needed to help with the party. Anyone willing to help should contact a Kiwanis Club member.

The annual United Methodist Church Church Bazaar will be Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church. A light lunch will be served and carry outs will be available. Hot chicken and noodles by the pint and quart will also be available. The Carroll County Sheriff's Department will be doing child fingerprinting.

The United Methodist Church Harvest Party will be Sunday evening at 6. Pizza will be provided and those attending are asked to take dessert. Costumes are optional. There will be a pumpkin carving contest but pumpkins are to be pre-carved.

Beginning on Nov. 8., Bible Study and Prayer Service at the United Methodist Church will be held at 6 p.m. with choir practice following at 7.

Crossroads Community Christian Church will have practice each Sunday in November for the Christmas program.

Crossroads Community Christian Church youth group meets every Sunday evening at 6:30 at the home of Dan and Teresa Butcher.

Faith Church of Christ will host Fifth Quarter on Friday night a 10:30 p.m.

The First Brethren Church will have a harvest dinner following morning worship on Nov. 12.

United Methodist Women met Oct. 16 withWilma Brubaker and Carol Heaton as hostesses. Plans were finalized for the annual bazaar to be Oct. 28.

Burlington Associate Club met Oct. 17 with eight members attending. Rosemary Sutton gave devotions and led group singing. The lesson, "Matters of Life and Death," was presented by Cheryl Milburn.
