Hoosier Authority ranks Carroll girls first for small schools Their first place finish at the South Adams Invitational moved Carroll girls cross country team into the top spot in the latest edition of the HoosierAuthority.com small school poll. This is the first time ever for the girls to achieve the number one ranking. According to Hoosier Authority, Carroll girls won by a comfortable margin of 86-109 and seem to be improving rapidly as just recently Southern Wells beat them by a 135- 157 margin in winning the A division race at New Prairie. Carroll boys team moved into fifth position in the state cross country rankings. They are behind first place Barr-Reeve; second place North Central; third place Dubois; and fourth place Perry Central. Rossville tied for tenth with North Miami. According to Hoosier Authority, Carroll took a narrow victory at the South Adams Small School Invitational. Carroll won with 96 points while South Adams (99 points) and Rossville (102 points) were a close second and third. These rankings were as of Oct. 3. Hoosier Authority covers and promotes Indiana high school athletics. |
