Orems celebrate 50th

Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Orem, 3743S 300E, Bringhurst, IN 46913, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary at an open house on Oct. 8.

Their children will host the event at the Rinehart Gathering Barn, north of Burlington, from 2 to 5 p.m.

Orem and the former Joyce Loman were married Oct. 13, 1956, at Ball Hill Methodist Church near Cutler.

He is a self-employed farmer, and she is retired from the Carroll County FSA office.

They have five children, Dale Orem (wife: Sarah) of Flora; Darlene Nabors (husband: Dave) of Roswell, Ga.; Dawn Orem of Russiaville; Glenda Orem (husband: Don Wenger) of Cave Creek, Ariz.; and Dean Orem (wife: Julie) of Rocky Face, Ga. The couple has seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
