Appleton 50th anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. Neil Dean Appleton of 690 State Street, Franklin, IN 46131, are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.

Appleton and the former Perrietta Martin were married Oct. 14, 1956, at the Deer Creek Presbyterian Church.

They both graduated from Deer Creek High School in 1956 and lived in that community all their lives until their move this summer to Franklin.

Appleton worked in a family owned business, Appleton and Son, for more than 27 years before becoming employed at Chrysler Casting at Kokomo. He retired from Chrysler in 2003 after 20 years of service.

The couple has three children, Jeffrey Dean Appleton and Cynthia Harber of the Camden area, and Nikki Birnell of Logansport. They have seven grandchildren.
