Katherine M. Hall

Katherine "Katie" M. Hall, 84, of Deer Creek, died unexpectedly at 4 a.m. Oct. 3, 2006, at her residence.

Born March 22, 1922, in Howard County, she was the daughter of Joseph and Eva Oyler Brown. She graduated from Camden High School in 1940. On June 10, 1944, she married Edward Hall at the Wheeling Presbyterian Church manse, and he survives.

A life-long resident of Carroll County, Mrs. Hall was a homemaker.

She was a member of Deer Creek Presbyterian Church.

She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, making gifts for friends and family, cake making and decorating, and gardening and raising flowers.

Surviving with her husband are two brothers, Robert J. Brown (wife: Ann) of Flora and Billy D. Brown (wife: Virginia) of Bringhurst; two sisters-in-law, Pauline Wilson (Mrs. John) of Camden and Wilma Jean Henry (Mrs. Allen) of Kokomo; and several nephews and nieces.

A brother, Harold, preceded her in death.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Deer Creek Presbyterian Church. Pastor Cheryl Montgomery will officiate and burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery, Deer Creek. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Cree Funeral Home, Camden, and one hour prior to the service at the church.
