Fay M. Hodge
Fay Morgan Hodge, 82, formerly of Camden, died at 6:45 p.m. Oct. 2, 2006, at George Davis Manor, W e s t Lafayette. She had been a resident there for the past three and a half years.

Born Jan. 24, 1924, in Montmorenci, she was the daughter of Delmar and Bessie Odle Morgan. She graduated from Brooksto0n High school in 1942 and from the former Home Hospital School of Nursing in 1945 with an RN degree.

She was employed as a registered nurse at Memorial Hospital in Logansport, then at Howard County Community Hospital in Kokomo, and lastly at the former Globe Valve factory in Delphi, where she was plant nurse for 15 years, retiring in 1988.

Mrs. Hodge was a member of the Camden First Baptist Church and the Home Hospital Nurses Alumni.

She enjoyed Purdue Women's basketball, bowling and water aerobics.

Surviving are two sons, Frank Hodge Jr. (wife: Sue) and Jim Hodge (wife: Cindy), all of Camden; three daughters, Cheryll Read (husband: William II) of Columbus, Diann Nelson (husband: Don) of South Bend, and Cathy Haggerty (husband: Tom) of Bloomington; 13 grandchildren; four greatgrandchildren; and seven stepgreat grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Dean, and a sister, Lela.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Abbott Funeral Home, Delphi. Chaplain Carla Johnson will officiate. Burial will be at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens, West Lafayette. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m today, Wednesday, at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to St. Elizabeth Hospice or to Camden First Baptist Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
