Burlington Kiwanis Club will meet at 7:30 a.m. Saturday for breakfast and meeting at the fire station. Plans will be made for the annual Harvest party to be held Oct. 28 in the Community Building. There will be food, games and costume judging. Volunteers are needed to help with the event. Burlington Church of Christ Bible Study is held Wednesday evenings at 6:30 in the parsonage. Prayer and Bible Study at the United Methodist Church is held at 6:30 p.m.Wednesdays. Louise Huffer will celebrate her 93rd birthday this week. Bible Study at Crossroads Community Christian Church is held at 6:30 p.m.Wednesday. Crossroads Community Christian Church youth will meet at 6 p.m. Sunday at the home of Dan and Teresa Butcher. Fifth Quarter will be held at Faith Church of Christ Friday evening starting at 10:30 p.m. A carry-in dinner will be held Sunday evening at 6 at Faith Church of Christ. Cindy Norris, the hostess for the mission house in Jamaica, will be visiting. Bible studies are held Wednesday evening at Faith Church of Christ. WMS of the First Brethren Church will meet at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the church. Bible study groups meet on Saturday at the First Brethren Church. |
