Ablaze Youth Ministries, the youth ministry of First Assembly of God in Delphi, recently spent eight days in New Orleans helping the victims of last year's Hurricare Katrina.
The team of local teenagers and adults helped restore and bring hope to some of the hardest hit regions in the New Orleans area. Some of the restoration work included cleaning and preparing Lynn Oaks Academy, a local middle school and high school for its reopening earlier this month.
The team also held five evangelistic outreaches for the children in the St. Bernard Parish. The outreaches were capped off with a huge water day. Countless hundreds were impacted and touched as Ablaze Youth Ministries reached out with a hand of compassion and love.
"Much more help is needed though as New Orleans continues to rebuild," said Bill Maynard, team leader.
