Garrison qualifies for golf regional

Carroll Girls' Golf Team finished its first season ever with 8 wins and 4 losses. Saturday they placed seventh at the Logansport Sectional, played at Dykeman Park Golf Course.

Carroll team was represented at the Sectional by Megan Garrison

(90), Lydia Hedde (102), Krystal Brazel (106), Malena Zook (110) and Carissa Hicks (115) for a total team score of 408.

Garrison, a sophomore, qualified for the Lafayette Regional for the second year in a row. The regional will be played Saturday.

This first Carroll girls' team was comprised of one senior, four juniors, three sophomores, and two freshmen.

"These girls had a great season and represented Carroll High School very well," said Coach Erin Garrison. "They should have a

strong group returning again next year as eight out of the ten participated in varsity matches."

"Another highlight of this first year was a second place finish at the Caston Invitational," he added.
