Murray 50th anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. Tom Murray, 705 S. Huddleston Rd., Winamac, will be honored at an open house marking their 50th wedding anniversary.

Murray and the former Thelma Mocherman of Flora met two days after he returned home from a tour in Korea. They were married Sept. 29, 1956, in St. Peter's Catholic Church, Winamac. They have three children, Tom J. Murray, Tim Murray (wife: Joan), and Theresa Blankenship (husband: Pat), all of Winamac. They also have nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Family and friends are invited to the open house, which will be from 2 to 4 p.m. (EDT) on Sunday, Oct. 1, at St. Peter's Parish Hall. The couple requests no gifts.
