Burlington The Red Cross Bloodmobile will be in town Tuesday at the Community Building from 1 to 6 p.m. The drive is being sponsored by Kiwanis Club. The Kentucky Mountain Mission Truck will be in Burlington Sept. 25-27. Kiwanis Club will meet at the Burlington Fire Station for breakfast and meeting at 7:30 a.m. Saturday. Guest speaker will be Keith Chandler, director of the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce. Church of Christ Bible Study will be held this evening, Sept. 20, at 6:30 at the parsonage. Gene and Sharon Bray will host a weiner roast for members and friends of the United Methodist Church on Sunday evening at 5. Those attending are asked to take a covered dish. Crossroads Community Christian Church will celebrate its 10th anniversary on Sunday with a carry-in dinner following services. Fifth Quarter is being held Friday night at 10:30 p.m. at Faith Church of Christ. Christmas Cantata practice will begin Sunday at Faith Church of Christ from 4 to 6 p.m. A super will be served at 6 p.m. with activities for all ages at 6:30. Burlinton's annual Fall Festival concluded Sunday afternoon with an auction. Proceeds help defray festival expenses. Winners of various contests and drawings follow: Karaoke 16 & Under - Breanna Bragg, 1st, $45; Destiny Jefferson, 2nd, $35; Jay Hudson, 3rd, $20; and Taylor Perkins, 4th, $15. Adults - Savannah Stevens, 1st, $75; Jason Bray, 2nd, $50; Jerry Cook, 3rd, $35; and Dale Johnson, 4th, $15. Chicken Drop The winner was Cameron Conn, who received $100. Car Show Seventy-eight cars registered for the Burlington Fall Festival Car Show. Stereo contest winners were Russell Anthony and Kevin Shellenburger. Stan Erskin and Wayne Douglas both won gift certificates, while Judy Hammond and Gary Bone won $25 gift certificates. Stock car winners included Jerry and ConnieArrick, Tim and Paulette Carson, Vance Davis, Larry and Linda Etchison, Marvin Dockerty, Bill Gaddis, Larry Goed, Bob and Donne Hall, P.D.
