Jim L. Snowberger of Delphi was recently inducted into the 2006 World Martial Arts Hall of Fame for the Life Achievement Award. In addition, Snowberger and his wife Kelli were inducted into the United States International Martial Arts Hall of Fame in July.

A martial arts instructor, Jim Snowberger was one of 16 to be inducted into the 2006 World Martial Arts Hall of Fame this year. The ceremony was held in London, Ontario, Canada, and was hosted by Professor Ed McLachlan of St. Thomas, Ontario.

The couple also attended the United States International Martial Arts Hall of Fame ceremony, where Snowberger received the Silver Life Achievement Award and his wife received the Outstanding Contribution to the Arts Award.

The Snowbergers are lifetime members of the World Martial Arts Organization, the United States Black Belt Association and the International Martial Arts Council.

The couple said they attribute their success to their students who have become their family; to their instructors Soke Tom Burdine and his instructors; and to the local community who continue to support their endeavors to promote martial arts in a positive, educational manner.

Snowberger is a 1968 graduate of Delphi Community High School and works as an inspector at Fairfield Manufacturing Co. in Lafayette. He and his wife own and instruct at Snow's Tae Kwon Do & Karate Do in Delphi.
