Allen's celebrate 40th

James R. and Carol M. (Shanks) Allen of Kokomo will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary next week.

They were married Sept. 18, 1966, at Center United Methodist Church, Young America, by the Rev. Larry Newburg.

He retired from Delco Electronics, Kokomo, in 1999, and she is a homemaker.

They have two daughters, Luann Fain and Jamelle Allen of Kokomo, and two grandchildren.
