Women's Sunday will be observed Sept. 17 during morning worship at the Baptist Church. This is also "Bring a Friend" Sunday.

Camden Woman's Literary Club will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the library's Reading Room. Jimpsie Doyel and Karen Hylton are hostesses.

Camden Lions Club will meet at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 20 in the Fireman's Lounge.

Woman's Missionary Society of the Baptist Church will meet at 1:30 p.m. Sept. 20 at the church. Hanna Appleton will give devotions. This will be a "White Cross" meeting and Amos is book of the month. Mary Whitfield will be hostess.

Aim Hi E.H. Club will meet at 7 p.m. Sept. 21 in the home of Barbara Jones with Joan Rogers assisting. The lessons, "What Do Quilts Tell Us" and "Crockpot Cookery," will be given by Justine Crume and Barbara Jones.

Collection for the Kentucky Mountain Mission, sponsored by the United Methodist Church, will be Sept. 23-24. Donations of all kinds are needed, especially pots and pans, toys and children's clothes. Donations can be taken to the Community Building on both days from 12 noon to 5 p.m.

Camden Elementary School is again collecting pop tabs. Last year the school received a plaque in recognition of meeting the one million mark. Tabs are donated to McDonalds for the Ronald McDonald House in Indianapolis. All members of the community are asked to participate, whether they have children in school of not. Tabs may be brought or sent to Pam Minier's kindergarten room.

The school is also collecting old cell phones which are sent to a company for recycling. Students are selling trash bags as a fundraiser.

Gene Whitfield of Wentzville, Mo., visited his parents, Frank and Mary Whitfield, and other family members over the Labor Day holiday.
