Southern Oblivion is feature at Coffee Beat

Brothers Rick and Dennis Alexander, along with Ben Flora and Aaron Walker, combine their talents to create the rock and blues sound of Southern Oblivion.

Bound by love and respect for the music of the Beatles and Bob Dylan, and the blues and folk that inspired them, Southern Oblivion plays a wide variety of music ranging from Robert Johnson blues through the 1960s psychedelic and other classic rock.

Accomplished musicians, the Alexander brothers add a whole new dimension to the bands' guitar based sound, with Dennis on bass and mandolin and Rick on solos and harmonica.

The band will be featured at Delphi Public Library's Coffee Beat on Sept. 16 at 7 p.m. Coffee and music are free and desserts are available. Enter the library at the Indiana Street entrance. The band will be performing on the third floor mezzanine. For additional information, call (765) 564-2929.
