Lakes to celebrate 50th

Mr. and Mrs. William "Bill" Lake will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house Saturday at the Rockfield Community Building in Rockfield. Their grandchildren, Nichole Pearson and Brian and Blier Williams, all of Camden, will host the event from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m.

Lake and the former Birdie Emmitt were married Sept. 15, 1956, at the home of the

groom's parents, the late Reynolds and Mable Lake of Rockfield.

He is retired from Iron Workers Local 379. She is a homemaker.

The couple has one daughter, Stephanie Williams of rural Delphi; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. One granddaughter is deceased.
