Burlington Plans are being finalized for the annual Burlington Fall Festival to be held Sept. 13-17. The all-community worship service will be held Sept. 17 at the park beginning at 10 a.m. Pastor Steve Cole will speak and Joyful Noise will bring special music. A representative of Kiwanis International will be the guest speaker on Saturday at the local club's breakfast meeting at the fire station. Breakfast will be served at 7:30. Elders at Burlington Church of Christ will meet at 7 p.m. Monday. A board meeting will follow at 7:30. A clinic for all those who run the sound system at church will be held at 7 p.m. Sept. 7 at Sound of Music. Plans are under way to celebrate the tenth anniversary of Crossroads Community Christian Church. The event will be held Sept. 24. There will be special music and a carry-in dinner following services. Anyone having special memories to submit are asked to do so by Sept. 10. Crossroads Community Choir will begin practice at 7 p.m. Thursday and Sunday after church. Faith Church of Christ Praise Band will meet for practice on Sept. 6 from 7:45 to 8:30 p.m. Faith Church Board will meet Sept. 10. Youth group will meet at 6:30 p.m. First Brethren youth will serve a dinner following Sunday morning service. |
