Announcements The fifth annual CARROLL PTO trash bag fundraiser is under way and will conclude on Monday, Sept. 18. Proceeds from the sale this year will go for technology items such as an interactive white board. Considering the child's safety and for accountability issues, the most appropriate way to pay the students is with a check made out to the Carroll Elementary PTO. Monroe Achievers 4-H Club is hosting an OPEN HOUSE to honor TERESA FIFE for her leadership and dedication to the 4-H program and to the Monroe Achievers 4-H Club. She is retiring after devoting 16 years of service to her club and county. The open house will be held in the east section of the 4-H building on Sept. 9 from 6 to 6:45 p.m., prior to the Achievement Night. Eastside 9 Theater, located on Farabee Dr. off of SR26 E, Lafayette, will hold WACKY WEDNESDAYS AT THE MOVIES FOR SENIORS. There will be a breakfast snack available at 9 a.m., followed by the showing of "Just like Heaven" at 9:30. The Freedom Center in Delphi is hosting FAMILY RESTORATION CLASSES beginning Sunday at 6 p.m. in the dining area of Solomon's Grille inside the Freedom Center at 101 W. Front St., Delphi. Join students across Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana and participate in the STUDENTS FOR WISH KIDS. Students will develop ideas for fundraisers, and then manage the projects with guidance from a Make-A-Wish Foundation representative or a teacher. CHAPS THERAPEUTIC HORSEBACK RIDING PROGRAM is looking for volunteers to help in the fall session. Volunteers are needed to assist riders during lessons and volunteers with horse experience are also needed for horse care both weekdays and weekends. New volunteer orientation/training will be Sunday at 4 p.m. Lessons are held at Camp Tecumseh's Indoor Equestrian Center in Brookston. The minimum volunteer age is 14 and no experience is required.
