Alfred E. Foster

Alfred E. Foster, 78, of Logansport, died at 2:33 p.m. Aug. 25 in IU Medical Center, Indianapolis.

Born May 1, 1928, in Logansport, he was the son of Verna and Loretta Welch Foster. He was married on April 16, 1955, in Delphi, to Edna G. Oliver, who survives.

Mr. Foster served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was stationed in Panama.

He had owned and operated Foster Amusement Company since 1956. He was a former bricklayer.

Also surviving are two sons, David Foster (wife: Deb) of Peachtree, Ga., and Terry Foster (wife: Dirinda) of Logansport; a daughter, Vicki Burns (husband: Bruce) of Indianapolis; two brothers, Ed Foster (wife: Joan) of Logansport and Bud Foster (wife: Betty) of Lake Placid, Fla.; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Services and burial with full military graveside rites were held Monday in Logansport.
