Prince & Princess contestants are sought

Applications are being accepted for the annual Burlington Fall Festival Prince and Princess Contest. The event will be held at 6:45 p.m. Sept. 14 in the Community Building.

To be eligible to compete, children must reside within 10 miles of Burlington, attend church in Burlington, have a mother or father who works in Burlington, or play a sport in Burlington. Children may not turn seven before Sept. 13, 2006.

Children will model a casual outfit and a church dress outfit. No long formals or costumes will be allowed.

A pre-contest practice for all contestants will be held Sept. 11 at 7 p.m.

The entry fee is $10 per child. That money will be used to purchase gifts for the contestants.
