Meet Teacher Night and ice cream social

Carroll Jr-Sr. High School Meet The Teacher Night and Ice Cream Social will be Aug. 31 from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

Parents are invited to come and enjoy a casual evening to meet their children's teachers. There will not be any conferences, only time to put names with faces. Teachers feel that more communication from school to home and home to school means a better educational experience for the students.

All parents are welcome even if they arrive after 7 p.m. They should bring a copy of their child's schedule.

Parents will go through a student schedule. At 7 p.m., they should report to their child's first period class. From that point, every six minutes, they will proceed through their child's schedule.

After visiting all their child's classes, parents are invited to the cafeteria for ice cream sundaes and to continue visiting with the staff.

The evening is intended for parents and teachers. The school prefers that students not attend these sessions. However, if young children must come, childcare will be provided.
