Neptune

JIM NEPTUNE of Burlington was honored recently at the 126th annual convention of the Indiana F u n e r a l D i r e c t o r s Association. He was awarded his 50-year pin.

Neptune graduated from the Indiana College of Mortuary Science in 1956.

He and his wife, Jan, have owned and operated Neptune Funeral Home in Burlington for over 43 years.

The name and logo of Sand Ridge Bank, associated with First Financial since 1999, was retired on Aug. 28. Company officials said the local bank will now operate under the unified brand of FIRST FINANCIAL BANK, N.A.

First Financial currently operates facilities in Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky under three distinct brands: Sand Ridge Bank, Community First Bank & Trust, and First Financial Bank. All locations will adopt the new brand identity.

Signage has been installed at bank locations, featuring the new yellow and blue First Financial logo.

The new theme line, "Another step on the path to success," highlights the bank's client-focused approach.

Flora Postal Clerk TOM ALLEN has been reassigned back to the Flora Post Office after serving as Officer in Charge (OIC) at the Cutler Post Office since last fall. SANDRA WERTZ, a postal clerk in Kokomo, has been appointed OIC in Cutler. Cutler Post Master BEVERLY OVERHOLSER remains as OIC at the Camden Post Office. The reassignments have been necessary due to the death last year of Camden Post Master Paul Schoff and the retirement Aug. 31 of Flora carrier GARY OVERHOLSER.
