Joan G. Francis

Joan G. Francis, 51, of Delphi, died unexpectedly on Aug. 17, 2006, at her residence.

Born June 3, 1955, in Ocala, Fla., she was the daughter of Oscar and Evelyn Jackson Nix.

Her marriage was to James "Jim" Francis in Dothan, Ala., on Oct. 19, 1973, and he survives.

Mrs. Francis was a homemaker.

Surviving with her husband are four daughters, Crystal Busch (husband: Randy) of Flora, Hollie Jeffrey (husband: John) of Ocala, Fla., Desirea A. Francis of Lafayette and Dusty Daniels (husband: Ron) of Delphi; a son Tom E. Francis of Flora; her mother, Evelyn Nix of Ocala; two brothers, Dale Nix and Bud Nix, both of Ocala; three sisters, Julia Peavy, Terry Childress and Sherri Gomillion, all of Ocala; and seven grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two infant sons.

Services were Sunday in Delphi, with burial at Forrest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Ocala.
