The annual Deer Creek Festival will be held this Saturday starting at 10 a.m. There is still a need for volunteers to donate baked goods for the bake sale, or to help serve meals or sell tickets. Anyone who can help should contact Pastor Sandy Hutchins.

A party was held recently honoring Theo Dyke for her 87th birthday at the home of her son and wife, Bill and Susie Dyke. Her only brother, Boyd Trapp, of Lafayette attended along with 26 other family members, including some fifth generation.

Loren and Karen Hylton have returned from a 12-day Bali cruise. They visited, England, Russia, Finland, Denmark, Sweden, Germany, and Eustonia. Their daughter, Lindy, visited London for five days with her parents.

Wayne and Helen Forgey celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary, along with friends and family. Their granddaughter Amelia Helen Moor celebrated her 30th birthday while they were there. She is the daughter of Joe and Jill Forgey.
