Kindergarten mentors
Halle Chambers, a sixth grader at Carroll Elementary School, is pictured leading a group of kindergartners to their bus at the end of the school day. Principal Carolyn O'Connell said trying to find the right yellow bus out of 18 can be intimidating to kindergartners at first, so mentors from the Student Council lead the way. Kindergartners are dismissed first, and when they are safely on the buses, the rest of the school is dismissed.
