Announcements GED CLASSES will begin Aug. 29 at Delphi Community High School. Classes meet from 6:30 to 9 p.m. on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Students should report to Room AA4 with pencil and paper. Due to the Labor Day holiday, the September DELPHI CITY COUNCIL will meet Sept. 11 at 7 p.m. DELPHI CLASS OF 1957 meets on the fourth Saturday of every month at The Stone House Restaurant and Bakery at 9 a.m. for chat time. A BLOCK PARTY will be held Aug. 27 from 5 to 8 p.m. in the parking lot of Regions Bank. Games, food, prizes and live music will be sponsored by Delphi United Methodist Church. Bring a lawn chair and enjoy! Deer Creek Presbyterian Church will hold a COMMUNITY BREAKFAST on Sept. 2 from 6:30 to 10 a.m. at the church located at 4450N SR29. Breakfasts are made to order and include biscuits and gravy, waffles, sausage, eggs, hash browns, toast, fruit and more. For more information call (574) 859-3671. Mark A. Smith will lead a CEMETERY WALK at the IOOF Cemetery, north of Delphi, on Sept. 9 at 2 p.m.. The lives of canal-era merchants, notables, and industrialists will be discussed. Honored guest will be Victor Case, great-great-grandson of Reed Case, canal engineer and Delphi area merchant. All who are interested in those who assisted in canal-era development of Delphi as a major shipping and receiving center are encouraged to attend. The cemetery is located just outside of Delphi on Wilson Street. Very little walking is required. The tent-raising for the KELLY-MILLER CIRCUS will be Aug. 28 at 9 a.m. at Delphi National Guard Armory. The event is free. Also the circus shows will be held at 4:30 and 7:30 p.m. For ticket information, contact Industrial Federal Credit Union. The City of Delphi Forestry Commission will hold a PUBLIC MEETING at 10 a.m. Sept. 7 to further inform the public, and gather input and ideas regarding city tree needs. The 2006 ARGOSYS are ready to be picked up at Carroll Jr..-Sr. High School during bookstore hours, Monday through Friday.
