James A. Gore

James A. Gore, 68, of Delphi, died at 8:20 a.m. on Aug. 11, 2006, at St. Elizabeth Healthcare Center in Delphi.

Born in Indianapolis on Jan. 29, 1938, he was the son of Oscar and Martha Collins Gore.

His marriage was to Vertie Justice Gibson on Dec. 4, 2001, in Gatlinburg, Tenn.

Mr. Gore retired from Citizens Gas in Indianapolis, where he was a customer service representative.

Surviving with his wife are three daughters, Deah Flavell (husband: Edward) of Congress, Ariz., Dava Abend (husband: David) of Ossineke, Mich., and Jane Gore; a stepson, Emory Gibson Jr. (wife: Bobbi) of Attica; two brothers, Joe Gore (wife: Char) of Nashville and Terry Gore (wife: Connie) of Mooresville; and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.

Services were Monday in Delphi, with burial at IOOF Memorial Gardens in Pittsburg.
