Camden The 56th annual Camden Tractor, Truck and Garden Tractor Pull will be held Friday and Saturday at Camden Park. The event, hosted by Camden Lions Club, will begin at 6:15 p.m. Friday and at 2:15 p.m. Saturday. The truck pull will be held both days, while the Garden Tractor Association Pull will begin at 9 a.m. on Saturday. There will also be ball games, food and bingo both days. Rain date is Aug. 20, starting at 1 p.m. A quilt, donated by Jane Penn, will be raffled to help raise funds for Camden's 175th anniversary celebration next summer. The quilt will be on display at this weekend's Camden Tractor Pull. Tickets will be available and the winner will be announced at the Dec. 12 town council meeting. Baptist Church Board of Christian Education met last week at the church to plan Christian Education Week to be held in September. A special event will be held each Sunday. The church will sponsor a bake sale during the Camden Fall Festival on Sept. 9 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Set-up will begin at 8 a.m. |
