KEITH M. MEARS of Delphi, a junior in the Agricultural and Biological Engineering Department at Purdue University, was selected by the American Society of Agricultural and biological Engineers (ASABE), to receive the 2006 William J. Adams Jr. and Marijane E. Adams Scholarship. Mears was recently presented with the $1,000 scholarship grant.

He was selected to receive the scholarship based on his excellent academic standing, financial need, and interest in agricultural machinery design and development.

Mears is pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in machine systems engineering. He was accepted for a summer internship at Case New Holland in Burr Ridge, Ill., where he gained hands-on expierence with product design.
